*Free trial* classes in African Drumming will be offered at the start of
third term on *Thursday 18 July* *at 7.15 pm* and *on Friday 19 July
pm* at Allwood Neighbourhood House, 901 main Road, Hurstbridge. The classes
cater for adults, retirees, teenagers and older children. Drums are
supplied and timid beginners are always welcome. Community performance
opportunities are also on offer for those who wish to perform.

In this workshop learn the basics of creating wicking beds, lots of Information provided. Wicking beds are a unique way to grow your vegetables. They are self contained raised beds with built-in reservoirs that supply water from the bottom up – changing how, and how much, you water your beds.
Happier, healthier and more productive, veggies love wicking beds because they provide a low-stress environment.

Did you know that some birds and insects can see UV light, allowing them to see many more colours than we can? Explore the hidden colours and lights of nature. We will be imagining the world they see and creating plants and insects with neon paints, allowing them to glow under UV light. Artist Christie Widiarto, will lead the workshops, the art works will become part of a project called, “The Bower”’ as part of the Digital Agora Exhibition that will be at held Allwood House in late August. Bring art smock or old clothes.
