The orchids of Nillumbik have reclaimed an abandoned building and are putting on a display like no other! Come and observe up close the complex pollination story of these incredible, fascinating and deceptive plants as they entice their pollinators with trickery and lies…

The plants and insects are made from silk and paper and are 10 x actual size. The aim is to transport viewers to a place removed from the everyday and to feel something that will hopefully linger. Most importantly the aim is to invoke a sense of joy and appreciation for the incredible world around us; a world that we walk past everyday and often fail to notice. It is a reminder to allow ourselves time to be idle, to stop for a moment and find the beauty and wonder in small things.
