Dance your way into the new year, outdoors under the trees, in the Allwood garden!Unlock those bones, ligaments and muscles, massage those internal organs, get your body moving!

Fiona teases out the African dance movement qualities which tend to invigor-ate, uplift and clear body, mind and soul.

This is a fun and relaxed dance class, open to all abilities and experience.Our facilitator,

Fiona, has extensive dance skills in African dance (soukous and traditional west African), dance therapy, physical theatre, improvisation and more.

Fiona Haasz

Fiona has a degree in Visual Arts and postgraduate qualifications in Dance choreography, Dance Therapy, Art Therapy and Art Teaching.

Her experience is varied and extensive, including solo and group exhibitions, public art, performance, curating and facilitation.

She has lived and worked in remote Aboriginal communities and studied dance and percussion in Ghana.

Previous grants include facilitation of dance videos with children, and art making with refugees in Eltham.

Her work in the therapeutic realm crosses over with her art practice, which is founded in the belief that creativity is inherently transformational.

– basket weaving
