Physical distancing and limiting workplace attendance
Ensure that all staff that can work from home, do work from home. Staff are primarily working from home, on site work is limited.
Establish a system to screen employees and visitors before accessing the workplace. Employers cannot require employees to work when unwell. Staff have been advised that they are not to attend the work site if they feel unwell. A sign stating this has been placed at the Entry door.

Configure communal work areas so that there is no more than one worker per four square meters of enclosed workspace, and employees are spaced at least 1.5m apart. Also consider installing screens or barriers. Social distancing is in place, all rooms are signed as to how many people can be in the room at the same time.
Provide training to staff on physical distancing expectations while working and socialising (e.g. during lunchbreaks). Staff have been trained on physical distancing requirements, signs have been placed in all rooms.
Where relevant, ensure clear and visible signage in areas that are open to the general public that specifies maximum occupancy of that space, as determined by the ‘four square metre’ rule. All rooms have been signed, all public access has been stopped.

Guidance Action to ensure effective record keeping
Record keeping
Establish a process to record the attendance of customers, clients, visitors and workplace inspectors, delivery drivers. This information will assist employers to identify close contacts. A register of visitors to the house has been placed at the Entry door.

Guidance Action to prepare for your response
Preparing your response to a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 case
Prepare or update your business continuity plan to consider the impacts of an outbreak and potential closure of the workplace. Workplace is closed to the public, staff access only.

Prepare for how you will manage a suspected or confirmed case in an employee during work hours. Should a staff member feel unwell, they will be told to leave the premises, get a test and self-isolate until the results are known. All contacts with staff member should be tested and follow the same procedure.

If the case is confirmed, the venue must be closed and a deep clean undertaken.
