In 1985, the Eltham Shire Council purchased the property of Allwood House, and Allwood Neighbourhood House was established. Today, the Allwood Station that Cornelius Sharpe Haley established, with a 160-acre land purchase and a lease of almost 10,000 acres, is an approximately 2 acres of community space that plays a leading part in the development and delivery of social engagement activities in Hurstbridge and the surrounding area.
