Welcome to our website we hope you find our site useful and inviting

The historical Allwood Neighbourhood House in the heart of Hurstbridge township is one of our best community resources. Established in 1985, Allwood House has been operating as a Neighbourhood House with assistance from the Shire of Nillumbik and with Neighbourhood House Co-ordination Program funding from the Department of Health and Human Services.
Allwood’s superb garden setting and Victorian old-world charm is relaxed and welcoming, creating a wonderful environment for learning. It is an excellent venue for trainers, facilitators and ‘home grown experts’ to share their talents, skills and knowledge.
Rooms can be hired at very reasonable rates to enable affordable practical courses and workshops that add value to participant’s lives and to the spirit of community. Allwood House staff and committee are open to all ideas, suggestions and feedback on courses and other activities.

Defying all the odds! Another nominee into the South Australian Tree of the year award, this River Red Gum makes quite the statement situated in the middle of a cul de sac in Clarence Park. "This might not be as well known as it should be because its in a cul de sac, and because there's virtually no other big survivor trees in the area. It must have been a late estate survivor when it was finally subdivided. It dominates the road and the whole cul de sac and looks very healthy. An amazing survival story considering it bisects the road!"Nominating your favourite tree is easy! You can do so by visiting > www.20metretrees.orgIf you have any issues at all, feel free to send this page a PM.Thank you to the nominee for this fantastic tree with the added bonus of free advertising for Tanner Real Estate! ...
